F31.1: Notice of Hearing of Application
Use this form to set the date for your chambers hearing (interim application). This form is new as of October 1, 2026.
You can't set a hearing date right away. You must first serve the other party with your Notice of Application and affidavits. Then wait until one of these happens:
- the other party (the application respondent) serves you with their Application Response and affidavits, or
- their time to respond runs out.
For most applications, the other party has 5 business days to respond. If you're asking to change, suspend, or end a final order, they have 14 days. Some other applications have different deadlines. To see all of them, read Rule 10-6 of the Supreme Court Family Rules.
Then file your materials with the court registry, and file and serve this Notice of Hearing of Application (Form F31.1).
If your hearing will take more than 2 hours, a registrar must fix the date. Serve this form within 7 days after the date is fixed by the registrar and at least 14 days before the hearing.
